Today, a two inch thick SAT prep book is in the give away box for a family with two high schoolers. Our family is done with it. It got me thinking about "how to" books. Some we will still refer to, but if you have a lot of them you haven't looked in for awhile, could you donate them and get your info at the library or online if needed? I'm guessing a book on macrame` could probably be donated...
Good idea. I think those have been gone (from my house)for a while, but I did take a serious look at travel guides. When I think about how quickly things change around here, I'm sure that 5 years makes a difference in Disney World, Las Vegas, New York City, etc. AND...am I going back there????? Probably not. Those went to GoodWill with other no longer useful treasures! :o)
ReplyDeleteBusy day today but, again feeling compelled to simply in some way today, I removed several misc. items from my utensil drawers; some went in the trash, some in the give away box.
ReplyDeleteDon't have a lot of how to books. And my bookshelves really need to be cleaned and reorganized. Not going to get into that right now. So, today, I just pulled out my copy of "Hinds Feet on High Places" (by Hannah Hurnard) and put it with some things I have to take to my sister. It's a very sweet story. My sister slipped on the ice and shattered her wrist, so I am thinking she may really enjoy this book now.
