If you are like me, you have some newspaper clippings you've been meaning to send to relatives, some duplicate photos you've wanted to send out, etc. This morning I clipped news, wrote quick notes to several relatives, inclosed photos, and am putting them in the mailbox. It feels good to get that out of the way.
We all have good intentions for things, but sometimes the items sit for weeks, months, or years. Eventually what we had planned to give people becomes obsolete. Try to make time to send out or give what you've been meaning to this week. It simplifes your mind and encourages those other people!
*wow - Heidi, one thing I really like about this blog is seeing how we (people) are so much alike! It helps to know that others struggle with the same things - like not following through on good intentions. Also - we all are enjoying the satisfaction of small successes as we share this journey with you! :)
ReplyDelete8 more books in the give-away box today!
P.S. I meant to ask you what time you get up in the morning to get this all done for us???
ReplyDeleteHey, Julie, I think this blog site runs from the Pacific time zone, so though I'd like people to think I'm really dedicated, getting up at 4:30 AM, just add 3 hours to the time I post. :)
ReplyDeleteHowever, obviously with the many typos lately, it's a little early to be posting. I really do try to double check, but think I'm still too sleepy!
Heidi, you are up WAAAAAAAAY too early for me! I just shake my head when I see that each day!
ReplyDeleteI am having such fun cleaning/re-organizing/simplifying....went to get something from the kitchen "junk drawer" (you know the one we all have...) and I just could not stand it anymore. Why dig through so much junk just to find a push pin?? So I took the drawer out, removed the few things that still work, pens that still write, etc., and emptied the rest of it into the trash!! WooHoo!!
Into the give-away box today went a winter coat too small for me to ever wear again, several partially used candles still in good shape, 2 laptop cases, a serving bowl and 2 cereal bowls, a small pasta bowl, my old typewriter from college (Why do I still have that, again??) and an old VHS player that for some reason was sitting on the top shelf of the basement storage. Ha Ha...I went downstairs looking for more to put into the box so I could load it into the car and be ready to deliver to Goodwill tomorrow. Found lots of goodies!
My house is looking/feeling sooooo good! My mother-in-law is coming tomorrow to stay for 11 days....she may not recognize the place! Actually she will see more of it than she has ever seen before!! LOL! Actually I hope to have Easter dinner in the dining room, which we hardly ever use mainly because it is usually cluttered up with junk!
Thanks, ladies, for all your encouragement and support!
