Day 91: Missing Twin

How many items are lying around that should have a twin, but the twin is missing? There was a time period when my washing machine was seemingly eating my husband's socks...but only one per pair. I had a pile I kept by the machine of single socks, hoping the mates would resurface, stuck to someone's shirt or somewhere. I finally bit the bullet and threw them out. It's the same with gloves and mittens. How long do we keep the singles until their match appears? This morning, I got rid of some single gloves and put a couple unneeded winter scarves in the give away bin.

  1. This was a gimme, but I'm gonna count it anyway. I sorted through Easter eggs today and threw away 3 that were broken and/or mismatched. It's still 3 less things in my house! :)

  2. I haven't given up hope for finding my favorite Smartwool sock. I'm pretty sure that Kenna, my collie, hid it somewhere. As we prepare to move, I have put everyone on alert to keep an eye out for that sock!

I got rid of a set of Tupperware measuring cups that Kenna put teeth marks in about a year ago.

  3. Here's a great story of "the missing twin". Hannah was missing one of Mikal's socks (our 3 year old grandson). It turned up in one of his dad's shirts. His dad was on deployment. The little "stowaway" ended up being a big treasure.
