our power went out this morning and we are now staying with my in-laws for the duration...all my plans for being stuck in the house for the weekend - gone! :( but, thankful to have a place to go! no simplifying for me today!
Aprons...finally something that I do not own at least a dozen of...I have the "Three Little Kitten" one that my granny made for me when I was 7...that is it! Well...my dad was a cook for the Shriners many moon ago...when he died, I brought home all of his clever aprons...I had made some of them for him. They are, however, packed away neatly and compactly somewhere...APRONS---> check! Not an area of concern for me. Thank goodness! :o)
I only have one apron and it's from when I lived in England...which reminds me of another topic we have discussed a little - souvenirs! I talked about getting a nice piece of jewelry when I go places...but also have gotten tea towels - something that I can use and still have something cute from the place I visited. Right now I have two from England and one from Disney World. They are just a pretty reminder of a special place that I use nearly every day. An apron might be another idea. I bought mine in England about 20 years ago - and it is still in excellent shape and I use it often!
