Wow! I would love to look in any cupboard, cabinet, drawer and/or closet and only see one too many of anything...maybe after 365 days of this that will be possible!
Today I cleaned out one shelf in one cabinet in the kitchen so that I could be a little more organized with all the food I've been bringing into the house for the snowy weekend. I threw out about 15 food items (cans from 2006!!). Then I finally broke down 10 cardboard boxes and brought them to the dump to the recycling container. They have been sitting in the basement since last summer, just waiting for me to recycle them!!
I hope that the snow provides me with some time to do a little more decluttering!
Ivy, I must admit I've been at this simplifying for a long time. It almost has to be a lifestyle as stuff builds up so quickly when we get busy and don't think about it. Many vases have gone away through the years. :)
Keep it up, everyone! We are developing good habits along the way.
I'm not there yet, but I have noticed a change in my thinking. It may take a while! I was just thinking, I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands the next few days - what large space can I tackle?????...the only problem is, I have to take the stuff to Goodwill immediately...well, at lest, tie it up in a bag and put it in the back of the Explorer...Enjoy the snow! :o) See you when I see you!
