As mentioned yesterday, cleaning has become easier. Storage space has been freed up so I have a place for many more items I need. My attic is organized and mostly simplified. There are so many advantages to living without clutter.
How is your house looking? I have heard from various followers about their successes. If you have time, would love to hear some comments on your progress!
My house still has a long way to go but I do find that the areas I have decluttered are easier to keep that way. One of the best benefits for me in doing this has been the instant gratification, when I don't have time to worry about the whole house, one area can be done quickly = instant gratification :) Now on to the man cave, I have shelves to organize...
ReplyDeleteI, too, have a long way to go. However, I have 3 areas that are almost perfect (a place for everything; everything in its place). It feels better to be in those rooms. I will say that I have gone into "crunch mode" with summer vacation coming to a close. To put it simply, "Crunch Mode" is -one bag per day - as opposed to one item per day. I choose an area and take two little grocery bags with me. One is for GoodWill, the other is for trash. I immediately put the GoodWill bag in the back of my car and drop it off the first time I pass ANY GoodWill! I tie up the trash bag, double bag it, and take it outside. I am also much more aware of bringing more clutter in to the house when I shop. I have a mental list of things that I absolutely, positively do not need any more of...socks, bras, panties, and gift bags come to mind... hahaha :o)
